HRH The Princess Royal was given a full tour of the nurseries and the innovative production techniques involved. Guided by the directors, she saw at first hand the propagation, production and planting techniques employed in annually producing millions of flowering garden plants. She expressed interest in the renewable energy systems and was highly impressed by the nurseries biomass heating systems, one of largest of its type installed in this country. This has helped the business to reduce its carbon output by some 1500 tonnes per year. Princess Anne was also introduced to several employees and marked the occasion by unveiling a plaque.
